This is a Fall honey and is produced from the nectar of an invasive species of plant called "Japanese Knotweed". It is dark red in color and is fairly liquid in consistency. Sweet, with a rich flavor though not overpowering and not as distinct as that of Buckwheat honey.

Since it is not produced in large quantities, it is not easily available and is usually the first one to go.
